Common Ground is a Christian community of high school students in Perth. We are serious about three things - Jesus, the Bible and each other. Because of this we meet at various times in the week and the year:
Friday Nights
Common Ground meets 630pm-830pm at The Warehouse Café at 221 Onslow Road. Designed for years 9-12, it is intelligent without being intellectual, mature without being old. Dinner together is followed by some sort of mildly amusing light entertainment, such as a quiz or the sort of game you play at Christmas. The highlight of the evening is a chance to read, study and hear a talk about a passage of the Bible together, and then pray.
Sundays
Common Ground meets again on Sundays for Bible studies. Either at 10am during Rosalie Church, when we head out during the service. Or at 4pm at 1 Charles Street, Shenton Park, where we study, have some dinner and then head to Unichurch at 630pm. Bible studies are a great way to get to know Jesus and each other better.
Camping Ground 2013 Jan 12th-19th
At the start of the year, Common Ground heads down to the shores of Oyster Harbour in Lower Kalgan for a weeks holiday. Staying at the first class accomodation of Great Southern Grammar School, we have bible studies in the morning, seminars before lunch and meetings in the evening. Camping Ground is the perfect way to find out more about the Christian faith, whatever your background. Between these we'll be enjoying the sporting facilities at the school, playing tennis, basketball, netball, foosball, pool and table tennis, alongside bizarre english games like padda, croquet, danish longball, croccer and bucket ball. Offsite we'll be canoeing, fishing, little beaching and more. Contact
